MODEL APPLICATION TO WORK WITH

Thank you SO much for your interest in working with Ken Gehring! We are dedicated to providing the most comfortable sessions as possible while also capturing your beauty as an individual. With our brand primarily focused on Fine Art Photography we are always looking for fresh faces for our projects.

When creating fine art there needs to be an emotive element to it and that is what I am looking for.  I do not look for another “pretty face” when looking for models, instead searching for someone that can connect with the camera and emote feelings in their images. We are not looking for warm bodies to shoot, preferably we need unique looks; freckles, scars, stretch marks, etc.  Having someone available to take time out of their busy schedules to model for us is where you come in. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate the following:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• No previous experience necessary.

• A fun and light-hearted attitude.

• Ability to listen and follow verbal directions as well as mimic poses.

• Willingness to take and participate in constructive critiques.

• Someone who just wants to have fun!!

The information in this guide is meant to inform you about what a model call is, why I need YOU, and the exact specifications I am looking for. It may appear lengthy at first but I appreciate you taking the time to complete it and in doing so apply to represent our brand as a Fine Art Photography Model.

WHAT IS A MODEL CALL

A “Model Call” is often used by photographers who are looking for something very specific for their portfolio. Models MUST be willing to follow ALL specifications (hair and makeup, nails, shoes, and specific undergarments) to be considered. These differ from regular, paid sessions because the photographer has full control over the styling and outcome of the images. This is NOT a contest and models will be carefully selected based on their application.

AGE REQUIREMENTS 

ALL models must be 18 years of age or older and have a government-issued ID with a valid birth date.  I have no maximum age limit.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

All bodies welcome!!! 

You do not have to have “model looks". We pride ourselves in the “average Joe” and think that everyone deserves beautiful images of their body.

MODEL RELEASE AND DOCUMENTATION

I require models to sign a full model release which allows me to use these images on my Facebook page, Instagram, website, blog, or wherever I see fit for marketing purposes. You MUST be willing to allow images including your face to be shown without limitations. No exceptions and models must provide (on the day of the shoot) a government-issued ID for me to copy for my files. 

COMPENSATION

At this time, we are looking for models willing to do TFP (Trade for Print).  This means you would be compensated with digital files from the shoot.  As a huge THANK YOU for offering to model for my portfolio, you will receive your entire session free of charge, approximately 10-15 digital images, fully edited, emailed to you for your own personal use, AND your one favorite image professionally printed as an 8×10 or 8×12. You will also receive bragging rights for being featured on the website and social media pages.  We do offer Fine Art Prints and if you have an image that is sold you will be compensated at that time.

SHOOT LOCATION

I shoot primarily at my studio in Paron, Arkansas.  

IMAGE USAGE AND COPYRIGHT

My images are primarily intended for my various publication projects, which include coffee table books, calendars and fine art prints.  I own full copyrights to the images, no exceptions.
